James has been playing brass instruments from the age of 9, starting with the
cornet. He achieved grade 5 on cornet and then progressed to baritone, after
achieving grade 6 on this, he made the trombone his primary instrument. James has

Ryan started playing the trombone at the age of 12. He joined Garforth Brass in
November 2006 and has enjoyed every rehearsal since then.
Ryan’s favourite Brass Band piece is Gaelforce by Peter Graham.
When Ryan is not playing his trombone he plays hockey for Garforth hockey club.
