Principal Cornet
Chris began playing the cornet at the age of 9.. He is now working towards ABRSM
grade 8 examination.
Chris played principal cornet in the City Of Leeds Youth Brass Band and currently
plays first cornet for the City Of Leeds Youth Wind Orchestra.
He has been a member of Garforth Brass since their first rehearsal and loves
contesting. One of his favourite test pieces is Journey To The Centre Of The Earth
by Peter Graham.
He also won the Garforth Brass Slow Melody Contest Open Section in 2007 when he
played ‘The Lord’s Prayer’.
He is going to study A-Level music at Garforth Community College from September 2009
