Garforth Brass are the new Yorkshire Region 3rd Section Champions of 2009!
After competing in the Yorkshire Regional Contest at Bradford, with Steven Bailey conducting, Garforth were delighted to pick up the winners shield and now look forward to completing in the National Finals later in the year.
Amongst a field of 12 bands, with adjudicators Simone Rebello and Ian Brownbill, Garforth stormed to victory.

Their bold approach was obvious from the start with half the band standing up to playing the opening themes. It certainly paid dividends and with continued excellence in the internal balances, clean rhythms, solid soloists and secure ensemble it was soon clear this was going to be a performance to savour.
